An Unplanned Road Trip To Ziro Valley Arunachal Pradesh: Road trips fascinate each of us, and we all have thought about going on road trips with our friends to some beautiful locations. I will talk about one of my road trips to Ziro valley Arunacha Pradesh that I did with my wife recently.

There are so many beautiful locations to visit in Arunachal Pradesh and Ziro Valley is one of them, and it becomes more convenient if you are living the capital city of Arunachal Pradesh.

We, one sunday decided to take this trip on our Yamaha Ray Z scooty.

Beautiful Roads covered with lush green forests and mountains

We started our trip from Lekhi Village a small village in Naharlagun, Itangar. It was a sunny day as we went there in the month of May but the beautiful scenery on the way will make you forget the heat and you will enjoy beautiful scenes of nature.

On the way, you will come across so many picturesque locations where you can stop and click beautiful pictures.

Potin a place to have some snacks

After riding for at least one a half hours, we reached Potin. we relaxed there and had tea. Potin is the place where you can take halt and have snacks. Almost every tourist going to Ziro will take a halt at Potin.

Pine trees and dense forests welcome you ahead

As we moved further on the road, it became more narrow, more beautiful and more fascinating. While riding when you look around, the dense and green forests all around make you feel so small in front of the nature. These forests with the tallest pine trees look really amazing beautiful.

Finally entrance to Ziro Valley

cool weather, sky touching pine trees and amazing scenery welcome you when you enter Ziro valley. your all fatigue vanishes when you see beautiful scenes around you. The cool weather, green paddy fields, and tallest pine trees make you feel refreshing and rejuvenated.

Seeh Lake, Birii

After reaching ziro,we headed to Old Ziro as most of the tourist places are located in old ziro. As it was our first time in Ziro, we were following the sign board. and then at one of the crossroads, we saw a sign board directing at Birri and Seeh lake, Ziro Music festival site and a few home stays.

We followed the path with our scooty and soon we reached Seeh Lake.

We parked our scooty and paid for entry and scooty parking and then entered the beautiful Seeh lake. The firts impression of Seeh Lake was quite mesmerizing. People enjoying boat rides in the lake roaming on a track build around the lake and beautiful pine trees all around.

First we reached at the restaurant located inside the premises of Ziro Valley and had tea and maggie. After having tea, we started exploring the lake and clicked beautiful pictures around the lake and enjoyed the beautiful place with showering rain.

Just next to the Lake lies a place on the hill where you can click beautiful pictures sitting on the points made with bamboo with beautiful lake view and pine trees in the background. You can also enjoy the swing rides here and click pictures.

Siikhe lake

The next day, we were ready to visit Siikhe lake and left at around 10 am in the direction of Siikhe lake. Which is on the road to Daporijo. After riding for around 30 minutes, we reached at Siikhe Lake more beautiful and bigger and natural than the Seeh Lake. The views here are really breath taking, and let me tell you this is the lake where a song ‘Apna bana le piya’ from the movie ‘Bhediya’ was shot.

Siikhe lake is really beautiful with pine trees and thick and dense forests all around. We also enjoyed boat ride here.

Where we stayed in Ziro!

Just next to the Seeh lake in dense and thick forests, we found a beautiful offbeat, cheap home stay. The owner was very friendly and he also offered us his kitchen to cook and lit fire for us as it was too cold in the night and in the morning.

If you are visiting Ziro, you need not worry about stay options as here you will find so many cheap home stays in almost every village in Ziro.

Best time to visit Ziro

If you want to explore the beauty of Ziro, it is better to visit the valley in the winter season. You can visit this beautiful valley anytime throughout the year except the rainy season. In rainy seasons, there is a risk of land slides so better to avoid visiting the place in the rainy season.
