Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw inspected the Amrit Bharat Express train at Anand Vihar Terminal in Delhi and appreciated the no frills Express train. Amrit Bharat Express Train Flags off on December 30,2023

PM Narendra Modi inaugurates LHB coach based Amrit Bharat Express train at Ayodhya dham junction on December 30,2023. Two Amrit Bharat Express Train will run on Indian rail network soon. One of the trains has been flagged off at Ayodhya Dham Junction that will run between Anand vihar Terminal and Darbhanga via Ayodhya Dham. The Amrit Bharat Express train will ensure smoother journey for the passengers.

How Amrit Bharat Express train is important?

The Amrit Bharat Express train has been developed specially for migrant workers who go and come in search of work and employment to the nearby states like Bihar, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh and other nearby States in the country. The Amrit Bharat Express Train is the sleeper version of The Vandey Bharat Express. The Train has been developed for long distance travels at cheaper rates with top notch facilities. The train is equipped with cushioned sheets, slider window pans, charging plugs, mobile holders, water conserving toilets based on modern designs and technology.

The train is packed with push and pull technology means it has locos on both ends. Having the locos at both ends make acceleration and deacceleration easy and smother, in addition, it improves the speed of the train. The train is equipped with Two WAP5 locos with 6000 HP. These locomotives have been developed by the chittranjan locomotive works one of the leading manufacturers of Locomotives.

Coach Composition : 22 LHB Coaches

The Amrit Bharat Express Train has 22 coaches. Eight Sleeper coaches, 12 General coaches and two guard coaches. The train will be able to accommodate around 1800 passengers through out the Journey. The LHB Coaches has been developed by Integral Coach Factory, one of the five rake production units in Indian Railways.

Sealed Gangways in Amrit Bharat

The Amrit Bharat Express Train is equipped with sealed gangways. Sealed gangways ensure smoother and hassle free transition from one coach to another, and protect coaches from outside factors like wind noise, and rain water.

Jerk Free Journey in LHB coach based Amrit Bharat Express

The Amrit Bharat Express Train is equipped with Semi permanent Couplers that ensure Jerk free Journey and improve the experience of travelers. The Amrit Bharat Express Train is going to run on two routes. The first train is going to run between Anand vihar terminal and Darbhanga via Ayodhya, and the other Amrit Bharat Express Train is soon to run between Malda town in west Bengal to Bengaluru in Karnataka.

• Darbhanga to Anand vihar Amrit Bharat Express: The train 15557 departs from Darbhanga at 3 pm on every Monday and Thursday, and arrives at Anand Vihar Terminal at 12:35 pm the next day. The journey will take around 21 hours and 36 minutes.
• The Amrit Bharat Express train will be passing through various Stations like Kamtul, Janakpur Road, Bagha, Ayodhya Dham, Lucknow, Kanpur Central, Etawah, Tundla, Aligarh Junction and finally Anand Vihar Terminal.
• Malda Town to Bengaluru Amrit bharat Express: The Train has been named Malda Town-Bengaluru Amrit Bharat Express with number 13434 is scheduled to be operates on weekends. The train will depart from Malda town at 8.50 am on Sunday and will arrive in Bengaluru at 3 am on Tuesday, and the return journey begins at 11 am on Thursday.
• The Train will cross stations like jaleswar, Bhubneshwar, Rajamundry, Vijaywada, Tenali, and Jolarpettai.

Amrit Bharat Express ticket price

The ticket price at Amrit Bharat Express Train is to be 15 to 17 percent higher than the trains in the same category because of the facilities that are being provided to the passengers in the train. The fare for 1 to 50 kilometers is 35 Rupees. The fare from Darbhanga to Anand vihar Terminal for Sleeper class is 570 rupees and for General Class it is 340 rupees. If you want to take the train from Darbhanga to Ayodhya Dham Junction, You will have to pay 347 rupees for sleeper class and 200 rupees for general class.
